WILLIAMSON COUNTY IS SEEKING TO ADOPT THE 2021 EDITION OF THE INTERNATIONAL BUILDING CODE (IBC), THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL RESIDENTIAL CODE (EXCLUDING SECTION B 313.2, ONE AND TWO DWELLING AUTOMATIC FIRE SPRINKLER SYSTEMS PURSUANT TO T.C.A. 68-120-101 (a)(8), AND CHAPTERS 34-43 RELATING TO ELECTRICAL), THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL PLUMBING CODE, AND THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL MECHANICAL CODE AS WELL AS ADOPTION OF THE 2021 INTERNATIONAL ENERGY CODE WITH THE 2009 TABLES IN ACCORDANCE WITH RULE 0780-02-23-.02 AS ADOPTED BY THE TENNESSEE STATE FIRE MARSHALS OFFICE. 


PRIOR TO CONSIDERATION OF THE ADOPTION OF THE 2021 EDITION, A COPY OF THIS DOCUMENT WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION FOR A PERIOD OF NINETY (90) DAYS BEGINNING ON THE DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS ADVERTISEMENT. THOSE WISHING TO INSPECT THIS DOCUMENT MAY DO SO MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8:00 AM TO 4:30 PM (LEGAL HOLIDAYS EXCLUDED) AT THE OFFICES OF THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY CLERK, COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE COMPLEX, 1320 WEST MAIN STREET, SUITE 135, FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE. ANYONE REQUESTING AN ACCOMMODATION DUE TO DISABILITIES SHOULD CONTACT RISK MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT AT 615-790-5466. Educational Impact Fee Schedule     

At their October 14, 2019 meeting, the Williamson County Board of Commissioners voted to revise the fee schedule for the Education Impact Fee.  These revisions were based on a study conducted by the consulting firm TischlerBise.  The revised fee schedule is based on the projected number of students anticipated over the coming five years, as well as updated construction and land costs.

Education impact fees are one time payments to fund the capital needs of Williamson County Schools, and reflects the proportional impact that new residential dwellings will have on the Williamson County School System.

The revised fees will go into effect of March 1, 2023.  The revised fee schedule is as follows:

The Community Development Division is responsible for ensuring that property development within the unincorporated county occurs in a manner that attempts to preserve the character of the essentially rural community, while accommodating record growth. 

This is accomplished with a strong, award-winning, performance-based Zoning Ordinance and through coordination with various federal, state and local stakeholders.
