The Register's Office has important revenue functions, both for the collection of fees for performing the duties of the office and collection of two state-privilege taxes:

Conveyance: $ 3.70 per $1000 (.0037 x $1000)
Mortgage Tax
Mortgage: $ 1.15 per $1000 (.00115 per $1,000) (First $2,000 is exempt)
