New Sign Ordinance Guidelines


Overview


Sign permits are required to erect, alter, or relocate any sign within the unincorporated areas of the county. Exceptions:
  • Address numerals 
  • Legal notices
  • Memorial signs, and tablets on public property or in cemeteries
  • Signs bearing name of occupants of up to one sq. ft.
  • Traffic and parking signs, which bear no advertising
Except for time and/or temperature signs, no flashing, fluttering, undulating, swinging, rotating, or otherwise moving signs, pennants or other decorations shall be permitted.
No signs are allowed to be located in or project into the right-of-way.
