Overview
Full-time employees with Williamson County Government and Board of Education receive a $50,000 basic life and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance policy at no cost.
Effective January 1, 2022, Basic Life Group Policy will increase to $50,000
Updating Your Beneficiary
This life insurance policy is effective upon the first full date of employment.
Below is the basic life insurance enrollment form to be completed at time of employment. This form is also used to designate and change beneficiary information.
Basic Life Group Policy for Full Time Employees working minimum of 30 hours
Basic Life Group Policy for Full Time Employees classified as Elected Officials
Basic Life Group Policy for Full Time Employees classified as Bus Drivers working minimum of 12 hours
Basic Life Group Policy Amendment #1 for all policies that fall under FLX-964517
Basic Life Group Policy for Full Time Employees classified as Elected Officials

Spouses & Dependents
Under this policy, employees have the opportunity to elect basic life insurance for their spouse in the amount of $5,000 and for each eligible dependent child in the amount of $2,500.
The cost of this voluntary benefit is $0.63 per month.
Note: An employee may not cover a spouse as a dependent if the spouse is also enrolled for coverage as an employee by Williamson County Government or Board of Education.
In the event that both spouses are employed by Williamson County Government or Board of Education, dependent children cannot be covered by more than one employee in the plan.
