Carpet Container Removal Memo

Effective Friday, July 21, 2023, Williamson County's carpet disposal containers will be removed from the Grassland Convenience Center and the Nolensville Convenience Center.

Residents with large loads of carpet and/or carpet padding should bring the carpet to the Landfill for disposal.

Individual pieces of carpet and carpet padding should be 5 feet X 8 feet or less in order to utilize the convenience center compactors. Residents with 5 rolls of carpet or less may continue to dispose of carpet in the trash compactor at the convenience center locations.

All convenience and drop-off centers are for Williamson County resident use only.

Residents may bring up to 3 cubic yards (approximately one level pickup truck load) from primary residence only to one center once per day. Residents with more than 3 cubic yards MUST bring large loads or multiple loads to the landfill at no charge for up to 5 tons per year. Proof of residency is required.

Remember to "LOCK DOWN YOUR LOAD" and tarp your pickup trucks and trailers
when transporting trash and recycling. Tennessee has a Tarp Law.

NO COMMERCIAL recycling or waste will be accepted at any convenience center location. Those with commercial waste must take it to the landfill. Rental properties are considered commercial. Recycling and waste from rental properties must be taken to the landfill. Commercial rates apply.
