Juvenile Judge Sharon E. Guffee is the presiding Judge. Effective Jan. 1, 2013, she is the first judge to have sole juvenile jurisdiction in Williamson County. Cases are also heard by Magistrate Judges who are attorneys who are appointed by the Juvenile Judge to hear juvenile cases.
Williamson County Juvenile Court exercises jurisdiction over matters involving children in our county including all delinquent and unruly behavior as well as dependency and neglect issues. The court also handles disputes regarding custody, visitation, and child support when parties have a child and are not married.
Williamson County Juvenile Court operates five days a week with a full-time Juvenile Court Judge, one full-time Magistrate Judge, and one part-time Magistrate Judge.
We employ 44 full time employees and process approximately 3,600 cases per year. Our purpose is to assure the best possible outcomes regarding the safety and security of children in our community.
